I've always wanted to start a blog, but A.) Life gets in the way, and B.) What would I do with the 157 notebooks which litter my house if I put all of my random thoughts on the computer?
However, something has finally kicked me over the blogosphere edge, and that something is Mystery Shawl 3. I'm loving this knit-along group, but I'm frustrated by the group's website, which is kind of clunky. I want to see pictures of the works-in- progress, but it takes a lot of clicks to get there, and once you're there the photos are often disappointing. I noticed that a lot of the MS3-ers were posting photos to their blogs. Beautiful photos. Lo-ov-er-ly photos with great stitch definition. (My son says there is some mysterious chemical in all yarn that makes knitters certifiably crazy. I will not argue.)
So I'm setting this blog up, primarily, to post photos and updates for MS3, However, I'm sure that other interests will leak in. For now, it's the 4th of July, and my husband and I are going to go shop for steaks. Nothing like a big hunk of red meat to help celebrate your country's break with the colonial oppressors.
